Officiating Bursary Scheme

Tennis in Wales is fortunate to have a qualified, professional officiating workforce delivering quality competitions across multiple tennis venues. To help improve the spread of local competitive opportunities and increase the number of competitions delivered in Wales we need to grow our officiating workforce and ensure they are supported as the begin delivering competition.

To assist this growth we invited applications for officiating bursaries for people wishing to access the R5 Basic Referee Course (50% of course fee) officiating qualifications here in Wales to support people making the first step on the officiating pathway.

This year we were able to award 50% bursaries to 4 candidates in North Wales and 6 in South Wales.

Applications are now closed.

It is an open application process, therefore anyone can apply as long as they live in Wales and every application will be assessed on its individual merits.

To apply you need to complete a short application form, outlining your commitment to supporting Tennis Wales with ‘opening up’ tennis.
