Swansea 365 are looking to recruit an ambitious General Manger to oversee the new strategic cycle within Swansea 365. Your role will be to lead Swansea 365 business growth and facility development; to modernise and protect tennis for todays and future generations in Wales.

Swansea Tennis Centre provides thousands of people within the local community access to (indoor and outdoor) tennis courts, sport and leisure facilities. Whilst also home to Wales only Regional Player Development centre, providing 10-14 year olds, access to industry leading training programmes and coaches.

In partnership with Tennis Wales, LTA and Swansea City council you will shape Swansea 365 into a world class venue and facility for future generations.

National Performance & University Head Coach

Based at Cardiff Met University with travel to tournaments required.

Reporting to Head of Performance at Tennis Wales.

Salary: Up to £45,000 plus benefits.

We are excited to announce a brand-new position within Tennis Wales. In partnership with Cardiff Met University we are looking to appoint a National Performance & University Head Coach to create a transformative coaching programme.  The position will be a key role in our Performance Teams and will be responsible for the development of Welsh performance players aged 14 and over.

The appointed colleague will plan, manage, and deliver a National Training Programme for Welsh performance players (hosted at Cardiff Met University Tennis Centre), and establish a performance programme for students at the university.  The partnership will provide leadership and strategic direction to the development of Welsh players based in Wales and students at Cardiff Met through the player pathway to optimise their potential and performance.

Head Tennis Coach at brand new park venues, Cardiff

Self-Employed – Hourly rate starting at £26 per hour plus bonus & monthly retainer.

Job description:

Strike Sports is excited to announce the opening of our new sites in the heart of Cardiff at Hailey Park and Victoria Park. We are seeking a friendly, punctual, and highly experienced Head Tennis Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality tennis sessions and a passion for developing players of all ages and skill levels.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and dynamic tennis coaching sessions for players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Deliver group and individual coaching sessions, including LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult Sessions, and Cardio Tennis.
  • Develop and maintain school/club links to enhance community outreach and participation.
  • Opportunity to build and manage a personal coaching business, supplementing income through individual coaching on a self-employed basis.
  • Participate in marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing players.

Personal Specification

On-Court:

  • Minimum of Level 3 or above with full accreditation.
  • Ability to tailor sessions to cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
  • Commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting environment.

Off-Court Responsibilities:

  • Strong planning skills to develop and execute long-term visions for program growth.
  • Ability to engage with management, schools, parents, and community groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Computer skills, excel, clubspark skills

General Skills and Qualities:

  • A dedication to personal and professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends in tennis coaching, sports management, and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in tennis coaching.
  • Friendly, punctual, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality coaching sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
