Safeguarding Training

Tennis in Wales is fortunate to have a highly qualified, professional workforce working across our tennis clubs, leisure and park court sites. To help tennis connect with as many people as possible we need to grow our coaching workforce and ensure that we are representative of all our communities in Wales.

To assist this growth we would like to invite applications for coach bursaries for people wishing to access our Level 1 (75% of course fee) and Level 2 (50% of course fee) coaching qualifications here in Wales to support people make the first step onto the coaching pathway or progress from level 1 to 2.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applications are open between June 1st – July 16th

It is an open application process, therefore anyone can apply as long as they live in Wales and every application will be assessed on its individual merits, however, we would particularly welcome applications from:

  • Women
  • Welsh Speakers
  • People from ethnic minority backgrounds
  • Disabled people
  • People living and working with communities in areas of high deprivation (Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation)

To apply you need to complete a short application form  outlining your commitment to supporting Tennis Wales with ‘opening up’ tennis.

On completion of your qualification, we require you to become an LTA Accredited coach and maintain your accreditation for a period of three years.

Tennis Wales is committed to diversifying our coaching workforce to help us achieve our aspiration to ‘open up’ tennis and make it the ‘go to’ sport of choice for people and families across every community of Wales.

Courses run from 9am – 5pm on all dates.

All applications will be assessed independently on their individual merit. We have a limited amount of funding and will not be able to support every application made.
