Safeguarding Training

We award bursaries to people who want to take their Level 1 or Level 2 across Wales.  All of these recipients are committed to delivering tennis in areas that have been identified as key areas to grow and diversify the game of tennis.

Due to the success of the scheme, we are once again opening up our application process for our courses.  If you think that you can have an impact in your area, then apply now.

Applications are now open

It is an open application process, therefore anyone can apply as long as they live in Wales and every application will be assessed on its individual merits, however, we would particularly welcome applications from:

  • Women
  • Welsh Speakers
  • People from ethnic minority backgrounds
  • Disabled people: Please email for more information
  • People living and working with communities in areas of high deprivation (Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation)

To apply you need to complete a short application form  outlining your commitment to supporting Tennis Wales with ‘opening up’ tennis.

On completion of your qualification, we require you to become an LTA Accredited coach and maintain your accreditation for a period of three years.

When we assess all applications, we will consider the potential impact on both skill / workforce gaps in priority communities across Wales. Using this information may assist you to make a stronger application. We welcome applications from all people people regardless of background

All applications will be assessed independently on their individual merit. We have a limited amount of funding and will not be able to support every application made.
