Tennis Wales are the National Governing Body for tennis in Wales. We’re a not for profit organisation affiliated with the Lawn Tennis Association of Great Britain. We work in partnership towards a vision of ‘tennis opened up’ in Wales. In partnership with our sponsors and Sport Wales, we work collaboratively to make tennis relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.
The Tennis Wales Workforce Development Centre (WDC) is here to serve as a vibrant hub for training and development, supporting the growth of volunteers, coaches and officials at every stage of their journey.
Dedicated to enhancing the quality of tennis across registered venues, diverse tennis settings and with the wider community, the WDC delivers a wide range of learning opportunities from coaching qualification, to on-court workshops, first aid and safeguarding training.
By empowering the tennis workforce with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need, the WDC can help to play a vital role in strengthening the sport’s foundations and ensuring a positive, inclusive tennis experience for all.
Volunteers, coaches and officials are the foundation of tennis in Wales. Their passion, dedication, and tireless commitment are what brings the sport to life in clubs, parks, schools and communities across the country. Whether it’s inspiring the next generation on court, creating welcoming environments, or ensuring fair and enjoyable play, these individuals are the heart of the game and the WDC is here to support at every stage of the journey.
